All children’s names in these examples have been changed before publication. In the following examples it becomes clear that initial observations may turn out quite differently. Their outcome depends largely on the age and behaviour of the subject, the previous experience of the observing kindergarten teacher with regard to gifted children, and his/her immediate working conditions.
In some cases, only parts of the initial observation are being documented here. In every case, however, further observations were made, which lead to further measures of advancement, which in turn resulted in yet further ideas and on-going developmental progress.
